Ethics & Acceptable Use Policy
Version 1.0 — Effective 26 July 2026
Scroll World turns stories into vivid AI-generated pages that are often shared with classrooms, workplaces, and the public — including children. This policy sets the standards every creator agrees to. It applies to all Input you submit, all Output you generate, and all use of shared pages, whether or not you hold an account. Violations may result in declined generations, content removal or deactivation, quota forfeiture, account suspension or termination, and, where appropriate, reports to authorities.
1. Absolute Prohibitions
You must never use the Service to create, request, upload, or share content that involves: sexual content involving minors in any form, or any content that sexualizes, grooms, or endangers children; sexually explicit or pornographic material; gratuitous or realistic graphic violence, gore, or cruelty; promotion or glorification of terrorism, violent extremism, or criminal activity; instructions or facilitation for weapons, dangerous substances, or causing harm to people, animals, or property; promotion of self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders; hate speech, or content that demeans, dehumanizes, or promotes discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or similar characteristics; harassment, bullying, threats, or doxxing of any person.
2. Deception, Likeness and Voice
You must not use the Service to create content designed to deceive, including disinformation presented as fact, fabricated news or historical events presented as real, or impersonation of real people or organizations. Do not create content depicting identifiable real people — including public figures — without their consent, and never in a defamatory, intimate, or misleading context. Synthetic narration voices must not be presented as the real voice of an actual person. Political persuasion content targeting elections, and content simulating official government or emergency communications, are prohibited.
3. Intellectual Property
Submit only stories you have the right to use. Do not request generation of content that reproduces or is substantially derived from copyrighted works you do not own (including franchised characters, song lyrics, or published texts) or that uses third-party trademarks in a confusing way. You are responsible for ensuring your Scroll Worlds do not infringe others' rights.
4. Audience-Appropriate Standards
You designate a target audience for every Scroll World, and you are responsible for the honesty of that designation. Content configured for primary or secondary school audiences must be suitable for those ages: no frightening or distressing imagery beyond mild, age-appropriate tension; no profanity; no romantic or sexual themes; no depiction of substance use; and educational or values-oriented framing where the theme implies it. Workplace-audience content must remain professional and must not contain harassment or discriminatory material even in fictional framing. Our automated moderation applies stricter thresholds to school-audience generations and may decline content acceptable for adult audiences.
5. AI Transparency
Scroll Worlds are AI-generated and are labeled as such via the "Made with Scroll World" attribution on shared pages. You must not remove or obscure this attribution on standard plans, and you must not present AI-generated scenes, narration, or "facts" within a Scroll World as human-created documentary evidence. If your Scroll World presents factual or educational claims, you are responsible for verifying them before sharing; generative AI can produce plausible but incorrect information.
6. Platform Integrity
You must not: attempt to bypass content moderation, quotas, the anonymous-trial limit, or view counting; artificially inflate views or ratings through automation or coordination; probe, scan, or attack the Service; scrape the platform or other users' content; resell or white-label the Service without written agreement; or use the Service to spam or send unsolicited promotion. Rate limits and technical protections are part of the Service and must be respected.
7. Reporting and Enforcement
Every shared Scroll World page includes a way to report content ("Report this page" link in the footer), or you may email hello@kb-lynx.com with the page link. We review reports, and we may act on automated moderation signals without a report. Enforcement is proportionate: we may decline a single generation, deactivate a page, remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations. Where we act on your content, we will notify you and, except where prohibited or where child-safety or legal issues are involved, offer an appeal via hello@kb-lynx.com. We cooperate with law enforcement where legally required, and we report apparent child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities.
8. Our Commitments
We hold ourselves to standards too: we screen all inputs before spending your quota; we do not train our own models on your private content; we do not sell your data or run advertising on your Scroll Worlds; we design viewer analytics to be pseudonymous; and we maintain human review channels for moderation appeals.
